Minggu depan, tepatnya 23 September 2016, label rekaman Warner Bros. Records akan merilis album milik My Chemical Romance yang berjudul “The Black Parade / Living With Ghosts (The 10th Anniversary Edition)”. Ya, memang bukan sepenuhnya album baru, tapi merupakan versi reissue dari album “Welcome To The Black Parade” (2006) dalam rangka memperingati 10 tahun perilisannya. Tapi di versi baru ini, ada penambahan beberapa lagu yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya.

Ada 11 lagu demo serta beberapa trek yang tak terpakai saat sesi penggarapan album aslinya yang diproduseri oleh Rob Cavallo (Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day). Di antaranya lagu “The Five of Us Are Dying” versi awal dari “Welcome To The Black Parade”, versi demo lagu “Mama”, “Disenchanted” dua versi dari lagu “House of Wolves”. Lalu lima lagu lainnya, yakni “Party At The End Of The World”, “My Way Home Is Through You”, “Not That Kind of Girl”, “Emily” dan “All The Angels” sama sekali belum pernah dirilis dalam format apa pun.

“Welcome To The Black Parade” sendiri merupakan album ketiga My Chemical Romance yang dirilis pada 23 Oktober 2006 via Reprise Records. Direkam oleh Gerard Way (vokal), Bob Bryar (dram), Frank Iero (gitar), Ray Toro (gitar) dan Mikey Way (bass) di El Dorado Recording Studios, di Burbank, California. Album yang antara lain melejitkan lagu “Welcome to the Black Parade”, “Famous Last Words”, “I Don’t Love You” dan “Teenagers” ini telah terjual lebih dari tiga juta keping di seluruh dunia.

My Chemical Romance yang dibentuk pada 2001 di New Jersey, AS ini sempat menyatakan bubar pada 22 Maret 2013, sebelum pihak labelnya merilis album “May Death Never Stop You: The Greatest Hits 2001–2013” yang memuat kumpulan lagu-lagu terbaik mereka.

Sementara itu, majalah musik Inggris, Rock Sound juga telah merilis album tribute untuk My Chemical Romance, juga dalam rangka memperingati 10 tahun album “The Black Parade”. Album berjudul “Rock Sound Presents: The Black Parade” antara lain dimeriahkan Asking Alexandria, Twenty One Pilots, Escape the Fate, Crown the Empire, ONE OK ROCK  dan New Years Day.
